How to Reset the Smart Hub?
Currently, there are two versions of the Safemo Hub. One version includes a reset hole, while the other does not. Please follow the instructions below to reset your Hub based on the version you have.
For the Hub with a Reset Hole
-
Use a Pin to Press the Reset Button
With the Hub connected to both power and the router, locate the reset hole at the bottom. Use a pin to press and hold the reset button inside the hole for about 10 seconds, until you hear a "deu-deu" beep and the LED light flashes white.
-
Enter Pairing Mode
Wait for about 2-3 minutes after the reset. The Hub's indicator light will flash rapidly in white, accompanied by a series of "ding-dong" sounds. This indicates that the Hub has entered pairing mode, and you can now search for and re-add the device using the Safemo app.
For the Hub without a Reset Hole
-
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the Hub from its power source, and ensure this Hub is powered off.
-
Open the Hub
Open the Hub's bottom cover with a screwdriver and remove the cover from the Hub.
-
Reconnect the Power
Reconnect the power adapter to the power outlet and Hub. Then, plug in the Ethernet cable into the Hub and your router. Wait for the hub to complete startup. You will see the solid white LED light and hear a "deng-deng" sound after about 10 seconds, indicating that the startup is complete.
-
Cold Startup Phase
Once the startup is complete, the hub will enter a cold startup phase, which takes approximately 2-3 minutes. During this time, the indicator light will remain solid white. Do not perform any operations, including pressing the reset button, as the system is processing data and the reset won't be effective. Wait until the indicator light changes from solid white to slow blue flashes, indicating the end of the cold startup.
-
Press the Reset Button
Once the cold startup is complete, press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds until you hear a "deu-deu" beep and the LED light flashes white. Then, reinstall the back cover on the Smart Hub.
-
Enter Pairing Mode
Wait for about 2-3 minutes after the reset. The Hub's indicator light will flash rapidly in white, accompanied by a series of "ding-dong" sounds. This indicates that the Hub has entered pairing mode, and you can now search for and re-add the device using the Safemo app.

A factory reset will revert all personalized settings to their default states. This includes erasing custom Smart Hub names, deleting location settings for the Smart Hub, and resetting the language settings to the default language.
-

All stored network settings and network configurations will be completely erased from the Smart Hub.
-
Delete All Stored Content
Any videos, pictures, and other data previously stored on the Smart Hub will be permanently erased.
