Thank you for choosing Safemo. This guide will help you set up your Safemo Set P1, which includes the Safemo Smart Hub and two or more SafemoCam P1 (SS113) cameras — so you can start monitoring your home with confidence.
Note: The SafemoCam P1 (SS113) must be connected to the Safemo Smart Hub to function. It cannot operate on its own.
What You Need to Get Started
Before beginning setup, make sure you have the following:
- The Safemo Smart Hub, with its power adapter and Ethernet cable
- 2, 3, or 4 SafemoCam P1 cameras (depending on your bundle)
- A mobile device with the Safemo app installed (download from the App Store or Google Play) and a registered Safemo account
- A working LAN port on your home router
Step 1: Prepare the Smart Hub
Power On
Connect the provided AC/DC adapter to the Hub and plug it into a power outlet.
A solid white light will turn on immediately.
The startup sound will follow a few seconds later, confirming that the Hub is ready.
Connect to Router
Use the included Ethernet cable to connect the Hub to your router.
Plug one end into the Hub's Ethernet port and the other into an available LAN port on your router.
Enter Pairing Mode
Wait approximately 1–2 minutes. The Hub will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by:
- A blinking white light
- A "ding-dong ding-dong" sound every 10 seconds
Important Setup Order
To ensure smooth pairing, please follow this order:
-
You may physically prepare the cameras (Step 2) either:
- After the Hub is powered on and ready, or
- After the Hub has been successfully added to the Safemo app.
-
However, in the Safemo app, you must:
- Add the Smart Hub first
- Then add the cameras
Do not attempt to add the cameras before the Hub has been added to the app — they will not pair successfully.
Step 2: Prepare the Cameras
(You can do this after the Hub is ready or after it's added to the app.)
For First-Time Setup
- Slide the lock on the bottom of the camera and open the back cover
- Push the metal tab toward the battery to release it
- Remove the orange battery insulator
- Reinsert the battery into the compartment
- The camera will automatically power on with a "ding-ding" sound, then enter pairing mode (blue LED flashes and "ding-dong ding-dong" sound every 7 seconds)
Tip: To ensure proper connection, make sure the battery is clean - free of adhesive, dust, or debris.
For Subsequent Setup or Manual Pairing
- Slide the lock on the bottom and open the back cover
- Power on/off: Press and hold the orange SYNC button for about 5 seconds
- Enter pairing mode: With the camera powered on, double-press the SYNC button. You'll hear the "ding-dong ding-dong" sound and see the blue LED flash
Repeat this process for each camera in your bundle
Step 3: Add Your Devices in the Safemo App
Once your Smart Hub and cameras are in pairing mode, follow the steps below to complete setup in the Safemo app. Please ensure that you add the hub first, then add the cameras.
- Open the Safemo app
- Tap "+ Add Device", or the "+" icon at the top right of the Home screen
- Follow the in-app instructions to complete setup
Tip: Make sure to allow all required permissions (Bluetooth, Location, and Local Network) when prompted for a smooth setup experience.
Once added, your camera feeds will appear on the Home screen.
